Personalized Dad's Workshop Sign Gift

The problem with buying Dad a workshop sign is that most of them are stamped tin with a generic phrase, and he can tell. This one gets his actual name on it, printed on the same 3mm aluminum composite we use for commercial storefront signs, which means it outlives the guy who hangs it.

What people actually put on them

You customize two lines: the top line and the center. The combinations we print most often are worth stealing.

• The classic: top line "DAD'S", center "WORKSHOP". Safe, and the one most people want.
• The grandpa version: "PAPAW'S", "GARAGE". We print papaw, papa, pop, pops, grandpa, and gramps constantly, so use whatever the grandkids actually call him.
• The est. date: add the year he bought the house or opened the shop. It reads like a business sign and men love it.
• The honest one: "DAD'S", "HIDING SPOT". Or "MOM'S", because roughly one in six of these goes to a woman with better tools than her husband.

Why 3mm ACM and not tin

Aluminum composite is two thin aluminum skins bonded to a solid polyethylene core. It does not rust, it does not dent when a rake falls on it, and it does not warp in an unheated garage that swings from 10 degrees in January to 100 in July. We print directly to the panel with UV ink, so the image is cured into the surface rather than sitting on a vinyl decal that peels at the corners in year three.

Four sizes, measured on the long edge: 12, 16, 18, and 24 inches. Twelve inch reads well on a workbench wall or a door. Twenty four inch is the one to buy if it is going above a garage bay where you see it from the driveway.

Ordering

Pick your size and check out, then email the exact text you want to orders@thesignroom.us with your order number. Spell the name the way he spells it, including any nickname. We send a proof before anything gets printed, so if it looks wrong you tell us then, not when the box arrives.

Production is 1 to 3 business days in our Bettendorf, Iowa shop. If you are up against Father's Day or a birthday, tell us the date in your email and we will let you know straight whether it will make it.
