Welcome to The Sign Room! The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to The Sign Room. The Sign Room operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). The Sign Room is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

The below terms and conditions, together with any policies referenced herein (these “Terms of Service” or “Terms”) describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights and cover areas such as warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.

By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our Services.


SECTION 1 — ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use the Services on devices you own, purchase, or manage.

To use the Services, including accessing or browsing our online stores or purchasing any of the products or services we offer, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that all the information you provide in our stores is correct, current, and complete and that you have all rights necessary to provide this information.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all of your account activity. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.


SECTION 2 — OUR PRODUCTS

We have made every effort to provide an accurate representation of our products and services in our online stores. However, please note that colors or product appearance may differ from how they appear on your screen due to the type of device you use to access the store and your device settings and configuration. Printed colors may also vary from what you see on screen due to differences between digital displays and the printing process.

We do not warrant that the appearance or quality of any products or services purchased by you will meet your expectations or be the same as depicted or rendered in our online stores.

All descriptions of products are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and may limit the quantities of any products that we offer to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction, on a case-by-case basis.


SECTION 3 — CUSTOM ORDERS AND PRODUCTION

Nature of Custom Products. All products sold by The Sign Room are custom-made to order. Because each item is produced specifically for you based on your specifications, design, or uploaded artwork, custom products cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has begun, except as described in our Refund Policy.

File and Artwork Requirements. You are responsible for providing print-ready artwork files that meet our specifications. If your files require preparation, cleanup, or design work, a file preparation fee of $35 to $150 may apply depending on the complexity of the work required. We will notify you of any file preparation fees before proceeding.

Proof Approval. For custom orders where a digital proof is provided, you are responsible for reviewing and approving the proof before production begins. Once you approve a proof, you accept responsibility for the content, spelling, layout, and design as shown. The Sign Room is not liable for errors in approved proofs.

Color Accuracy. We use professional-grade UV-resistant and weatherproof inks and make every effort to match colors as closely as possible. However, due to the nature of digital printing, exact color matching is not guaranteed. Slight variations between your screen, your proof, and the final printed product are normal and are not considered defects.

Production and Turnaround. We offer next-day production on most standard orders placed and approved by 2:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday. Turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Complex orders, large quantities, or orders requiring design work may require additional production time. We will communicate any expected delays.

Order Cancellations. Because our products are custom-made, cancellations are not accepted once production has begun. If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at 563-265-2743 or orders@thesignroom.us. Cancellation requests received before production begins may be accommodated at our discretion.


SECTION 4 — PAYMENT TERMS

Payment Required Before Production. Full payment is required before production begins on all orders. We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.

Large and Wholesale Orders. Orders over $500 or wholesale and bulk orders require full upfront payment before production begins. No exceptions.

Pricing. Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation email. Unless otherwise expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, or import charges.


SECTION 5 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order. We ship nationwide via USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

We are not liable for shipping and delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, customs processing, or events outside our control. Once we transfer products to the carrier, title and risk of loss passes to you.

If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will work with you to resolve the issue.


SECTION 6 — RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on custom-printed items unless the product arrives damaged or contains a printing error that was not present in the approved proof.

SECTION 7 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Our Intellectual Property. Our Services are owned by The Sign Room, its affiliates, or licensors and are protected by U.S. and foreign patent, copyright, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Intellectual Property. When you upload artwork, logos, or designs for printing, you represent and warrant that you own the rights to that content or have obtained proper authorization to reproduce it. The Sign Room is not responsible for verifying copyright or trademark ownership of artwork submitted by customers. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Sign Room from any claims arising from the content you submit for printing.


SECTION 8 — OPTIONAL TOOLS

You may be provided with access to tools offered by third parties as part of the Services. We provide access to such tools “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind. Any use of optional third-party tools is entirely at your own risk.


SECTION 9 — THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any third-party websites. If you leave our Services to access third-party sites, you do so at your own risk.


SECTION 10 — RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

The Sign Room is powered by Shopify. Any sales and purchases you make are made directly with The Sign Room. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and The Sign Room.


SECTION 11 — PRIVACY POLICY

All personal information we collect is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read our privacy policies.


SECTION 12 — FEEDBACK

If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose. We are under no obligation to maintain your feedback in confidence or to compensate you for it.


SECTION 13 — ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS

We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice.


SECTION 14 — PROHIBITED USES

You may use the Services for lawful purposes only. You may not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to violate any laws, to infringe intellectual property rights, to harass others, to transmit false information, or to engage in any conduct that restricts others’ use of the Services.


SECTION 15 — TERMINATION

We may terminate this agreement or your access to the Services at any time without notice. You will remain liable for all amounts due up to the date of termination.


SECTION 16 — DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICES AND ALL PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.


SECTION 17 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PROVIDED BY LAW, THE SIGN ROOM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR ANY PRODUCTS PROCURED THROUGH THE SERVICES.


SECTION 18 — INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Sign Room from any losses, damages, or claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or any content or artwork you submit for printing that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.


SECTION 19 — SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent possible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.


SECTION 20 — WAIVER; ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and The Sign Room and govern your use of the Services, superseding any prior agreements.


SECTION 21 — ASSIGNMENT

You may not assign this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may transfer or assign these Terms without notice.


SECTION 22 — GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. You and The Sign Room consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Scott County, Iowa.


SECTION 23 — CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
