A 24x18 sign is large enough to be read from about 70 feet away, fits on standard metal H-wire stakes, and is affordable enough to order in bulk. 18" x 24" — The Vertical Option

How to Decide: 3 Questions to Ask

1. How far away will people be when they read it? If your sign needs to be visible from a road, go with 24x18 or larger. For walkway or porch placement, 12x18 works fine.
2. How much text do you need? The more words you want on the sign, the bigger the sign needs to be. A name and phone number fits easily on a 12x18. A full business advertisement with a logo, tagline, and contact info needs at least a 24x18.
